Hiiii, i saw your tags about my quiz and I just wanted to apologize about the using the line 'i am a good girl' i used it because it's a line from Harrow the Ninth and I thought it was a funny reference, I deliberately avoided using gendered language in the rest of the quiz but I thought that one would be ok since it was a reference. i'm sorry :[
ah! It’s okay! Honestly, like, it is NOT your fault, it’s just that gendered language and the assumption that a quiz-taker is femme is SO common.
I did really enjoy the quiz!!!! and also I did not clock that it was a reference at ALL it’s been a while since I read the book and I’m terrible at remembering quotes BUT if I had remembered then it would not have bothered me at all
I just have a very complicated relationship with my gender, currently, and that’s not on you
AND ALSO it was not my intention AT ALL to make you feel bad for it! Even if it wasn’t a reference, it’s not this one instance that’s the problem, especially since you made a point of avoiding gendered language in the rest of the quiz (which I appreciate!); the thing is that it linked in my head to all the quizzes I’ve taken where literally every other question assumed the quiz taker was femme without options for more masc/androgynous people.
