Hide the chocolate from the dogs!!
Not my usual post but just have to write. The goldendoodle counter surfed last night. First noticed that the butter stick was gone but what really freaked me out was the missing bag of semi sweet chocolate chips missing. I go racing thru the house and to my surprise what do I find? A empty wrapper and 12 ounces of chips gone.
You then race both dogs over to the vet to have them throw up to find only one dog ate all those chips. Ugh!
So now one is made to throw up as much as possible and given charcoal to bind with chocolate and is given a iv and spends the night at the vet being observed. But early intervention is better than the alternative. Plus as I was in the waiting room, there was another owner calling in about their dog and chocolate.
Just a holiday warning "hide the chocolate!!"
