Obsolete in Noclip.Website
When loading a level in Portal 2, for example, "Laser Chaining," - the obsolete icon will appear in the background as the level is loading on the website.
This may not be the case with the actual Portal 2 game as most Source Engine games will have the void outside of a level.
Noclip.website is a very cool site where just as using cheats in Source Engine will allow you to noclip through a level, it will be the same as in this site. You're not required to install any programs, whatsoever.
The Source Engine games that can be found on this site are Portal 1 and 2, Team Fortress 2, and Half-Life.
The example used in the photos is the level"Laser Chaining" from Portal 2.
Here's some examples that you can take a look at.
de_aztec from Counter-Strike: Source
Pillar of Autumn from Halo: Combat Evolved
c5a1 from Half-Life
tr_dustbowl from Team Fortress 2
gm_construct from Garry's Mod
If there are any extras such as water moving or fans spinning, you'll also see those in action, too.
