Still blanking on Arora and Prophet, but I got some thumbnail sketches for Hemlock and Dex done that I'm happy to take further. Dex gets two because I just couldn't decide between these two ideas, while Hemlock's thumbnails purely were for figuring out the better angle.

Started designing some DaD versions for a few of my beloved OCs. As my de facto main character, Shika gets to go first~

Her name is Luna in this version, with Shika/Shy being a nickname she prefers to go by. She's a theater/art director who pissed off the wrong Harmony execs (and by that I mean her parents, who disowned her over her choice of lifestyle and her creative opinions). She used to direct music videos for Dead as Disco and did stage designs for them, but after the band fell apart she withdrew to the lower parts of the city where she now leads a ragtag anti-Harmony theater group called The Freakshow.

So excited to throw her back into a fandom where I can make use of her vampire/goth aesthetics again, even if the vampirism itself is left by the wayside once more.

Dancers, take it away~!

My headcanon for Dancing Green's Frogtourage. More about them under the cut:

Their race is the 9th's equivalent to the Fuath of the First. They were peaceful and coexisted in swampy areas with another species known as Qu. Though these two-legged frogs didn't survive the Storm Surge, Alexandria possessed genetic samples with which these eight were reconstructed.

Why? Because Dancing Green mentioned to his manager and Metem in passing how having a group of backup dancer frogs would be funny in the ring, and they agreed. Couple weeks later he was handed a box with tiny tadpoles and told to take care of them.

Dancing Green ends up naming them after fruit based on their colors. While their species is capable of speech, they don't understand the Alexandrian/Turali tongue, and thus can't talk to the Shetona they come to see as their papa. They still manage to communicate via gestures and sounds, though, and love nothing more than to sing and dance with their papa. Apple is the most clingy out of the bunch, and is the one most likely to be seen accompany Dancing Green around the city.

The four on the left are male, the ones on the right female. Their scarves are color-coordinated and show which of them are bonded pairs. They are around the size of a small Lalafell, but get infused with extra aether during performances to reach a bigger size.

I originally didn't intend to make them anthro/base them on the Fuath.

These are the original design doodles, simple color swaps of tiny frogs/toads that were genetically modified to grow the afros they have in-game. But then my brain cooked up a fairy tale themed AU of the Arcadion fighters, and Il Mheg was an obvious design inspiration. And the moment my brain connected the frogtourage and the Fuath...well...

Shika came out of Orbonne Monastery with more than just some stories to tell...
