So it's not just me? But there's a thing with Proud Warrior Races in games where they are superficially described as equal and yet, because they're primarily a male power fantasy trope, they need to keep some element of "WOMAN! SOFT YET FIERCE, TO KEEP MY BED WARM AND BEAR MY CHILDREN AND DEFEND OUR HOME!" in order to retain what makes that trope attractive to Average Dude Fantasy Buff?
Oh its not just you, for sure.
Its almost a Spartan-like idea that women in PWRs need to have some level of GRR SO STRONG and be good at sword-swinging and general primitive war-making dude stuff (cause PWR are always primitive/savage/tribal in some aspect) because that assures they'll give STRONG WARRIOR SONS, or at least live long enough to die in childbirth for them.
And there's always this...ughghgh undercurrent, this pattern of...idk how to say this right but when Warrior Women do Great Heroic Things its always for doing things with a Female Attitude. Like Jora! Jorrah defended her people! Good stuff, yeah? Being a defender, caring for her people, its all very heroic, but it still has this tint of femaleness? Whereas a dude would've offed Svanir CAUSE FUCK YEAH FIGHT THE EVIL SHIT and even as we praise and recognize the heroism of Jora, it still winds down to the fact that women need some great, powerful motivation to be spurred into great deeds while dudes just do shit...because! Its just accepted that they'll do great things by fiat of being dudes. And we never really wanna say it out loud, but we regard the Male Attitude of achieving greatness just because as better or more admirable than doing shit for a good reason.

But yeah, a lot of that attitude literally smacks of "the woman needs to meet a certain level of strength to be ~worthy~ of being with the Warrior Man" in PWRs, but never display the same levels of physical and martial prowess (which is what defines the PWR) or even surpass that of the men. But she HAS to maintain this certain level of weakness/femininity in order to still be "enjoyable" or suitably sexualized for the reader and the PWR man who is their proxy.
Its literally the same gender dynamics as real life and pretty much every other, standard fantasy race but with splashes of shitty racist tropes tied in. Theres also an additional ego boost to the male reader for being able to bang the strong hot warrior chick and ~domesticate~ her.
