With a decent grasp of a portion of the city under their belts, Mashu had felt comfortable with venturing out with Noctis to learn what an ordinary lifestyle in such a place could be like. Still, she hadn’t much of an understanding of the concept, and who better to teach her than a man who lived in civilization not unlike their current location.
The blinking lights of an arcade had captivated her and urged her to ask him about the centre. A place he was all too happy to showcase to her. From the mysterious slot machines to video games too large to fit into any console and clear machines with metallic claws fumbling for the plush prizes squashed inside.
The latter of which she’d had no luck with; each time, no matter how secure the grip, it had fallen through the steel fingers. And she’d given up, when Noctis stepped up to the plate, aiming for the white fox which she had been after once he’d taught how to operate the machine.
“Do you perhaps think we’re careless spending this much money on such a game? We might need to think of other means of making up what we’re losing, otherwise we could be in danger of exhausting our resources...”
