With New Year just coming to a close, and the Christmas holiday
having been over for a few weeks now, Amy assumed shopping
would be easy. She not dare face the absolute swarms of people
that crowded the malls and shops around the holiday season. But,
as time continued on, her apartment became bare and she
desperately needed a trip to restock on household
essentials-- and to perhaps splurge on a scarf or two.
But despite what she’d hoped the situation would be, the area was
still bustling. It made navigating hard, especially when she was...shorter,
than most. She’d bumped into several strangers already, and offered
an apology to each and every. The most acknowledgement she’d
received was a mumble or scoff, which only made her more
eager to reach her home.
Unfortunately, she’d do it one more time.
She was busy checking the state of one of the bags in her possession
when she bumped into another form. She had a catch of breath,
stumbling backwards and dropping one bag to the ground.
Ears pricked upwards.
She was quick to try and regain her composure.
‘ Oh, gosh-- I’m so sorry! ’
Jade eyes flickered around before squaring in on the poor soul
she’d collided with. After a few, brief moments of confusion, she’d
come to recognize the other to be what looked like Sonic--
although something was certainly off.
Something about him lacked familiarity.
