In March of 2018, I lost my job. During the next five months, the job hunt was tough. I didn’t want to go back to the video game industry; it wasn’t healthy for me. However, the uncertainty with where I can go was strong. Sure, I had interviews, but they were always plagued with the same starting question: “So, you make games?” I sat in a Panera, writing application after application, getting rejection after rejection, many from just seeing my past experience titles, and not what I did. I felt hopeless. Unemployment insurance was running out and I had no idea what I was going to do. Then, I got a phone call from the University of Wisconsin - Madison: “We’d like to offer you an interview for our office.” - Portrait photographed at @dearworld #noda2018 #dearworld https://www.instagram.com/p/BqQG0QlgQPJEpEse8wi09xC4FfKhBHw_VqXLmM0/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1kmuw1hkky1x0
