(long post, so gonna be under a cut and pretty image heavy)

im not sure i have any of the original sketches, I DO!! but i intended them to look more along the lines of pathfinder from apex legends with some big influences from the producer of district 9/chappie/elysium (some of my favourite movies)

buuuuut i decided it was too far out of the HS universe designs. me? following rules and guidelines? wellllll yeah, i enjoy having some sort of limitations and guidelines to follow. its fun to bend and break rules but not make something completely out of question, you know?

but then i took a look at the drones in homestuck and thought... thats actually pretty cool as it is. i still wanted to have the lanky, breakable-looking aspects, so i scrapped that idea and started anew

then i came up with this, and i decided i had enough of an idea that i could go straight to designing!

this is the literal process i go through. theres pretty much nothing else between these images!

i took some inspiration from evangelion for the deeth (aduh) but other than that... i sort of just winged it and it came along pretty nicely!

those bits were hard to see

their name is Node, theyre genderless drone, they sly/cull/hunt mutants. overly friendly, extremely sarcastic, extremely intelligent but chooses to act coy.

the armoured hands are meant to be bigger because their favourite/default method of elimination is to crush the skull

6′5 tall with detachable armour

vents on ribs for 'breathing'

semi organic mesh as 'skin'

capable of drooling lol

tongue is 1.5 ft with ridges for collecting information via taste

body can regenerate and armour pulls itself back together when forced apart

hydraulic ankles, jets on the back for periodical flight/heightened jump

teeth made for crushing, long teeth for piercing

four 'universal' cords on the back of the head. the ends of the plugs can change to fit anything hence the name NODE node Dictionary result for node/nəʊd/noun TECHNICAL 1.a point in a network or diagram at which lines or pathways intersect or branch.

can mimic any noise/voice, mouth movement not required for speech, speakers dont seem to be anywhere specific. eyes are like camera lens and make the sounds too
