Heading into this season with gratitude. Gratitude and humility are important when hunting. To me hunting is a lot like martial arts as "winning" is just a very small part of the actual activity (of either hunting or martial arts). Hunting and martial arts at their core are "sports" but are really designed to be much greater than just mere competitive sports. Hunting and martial arts are meant to cultivate us from within and create better people for our society. Hunting and martial arts are designed to teach us life lessons, help us grow, and to help us appreciate what life is really about. I go into each season with this mindset and helps me enjoy my time much more. I'm thankful for the time that I get out there. I appreciate my job for giving me time out here and I am especially thankful to my family who is so understanding of my need to explore wild places. Happy hunting and best of luck to you all this weekend. May you find what you are pursuing out there. #QuailCamp #UplandJitsu #TheArtofUplandHunting #UplandHuntingOrDie #NoDogNoProblem #UplandHunting #QuailHunting #WingShooting #ProjectUpland #KeepItPublic #PublicLandBirds #PublicLandHunter #PublicLandsProud #MyPublicLands #MeatEater #FilsonLife #Filson1897 #Orvis #Ithaca37 (at California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CVDNToNlCX8/?utm_medium=tumblr
