The appearance of: tiny this or large that, conservative styles or showing lots of skin, down-to-earth or fashionista, sneakers or heels, shaved or hairy, lingerie or nothing at all, long hair or a buzz-cut, hair-up or hair-down, lots of make-up or bare skin, the list of categories is endless. That preferences are individual and not always predictable is the subtext I am thinking about.
