Amy Cooper is the white woman who called the police on a black bird watcher Chris Cooper (no relation) who asked her to put her dog on a leash. She told the police that he was threatening her life as he recorded the interaction. What's most problematic, is that police have a habit of shooting first and asking questions afterwards when it comes to people of color. She has admitted that she looks at officers as protectors but knew that black people do not have the same vision or luxury.
