A you girl sat slumped over an old, sea water stained vanity, feet kicking slowly back and forth as the ship rocked. She wasn’t sure how long she’d been there. Days? Hours? It was hard to tell through the tiny, muck covered porthole. Hours, though, seemed a bit more logical. After all, who would go to the effort of kidnapping someone and locking them up in a room if they were just going to let them starve.
Although, she wasn’t sure if he minded being locked in. After all, that meant only on person had the key to her room. As far as she was concerned, one pirate captain was more bearable than his entire crew. A crew which she could hear shouting order just outside her door. Even that sound came with a bit of comfort, if they were busy, then perhaps they would leave her alone.
Unfortunately, the hopes of being left alone were practically shattered when she heard a key turning in the lock on her door.
