The date is April 15th and Rebekah Mikaelson & Caroline Forbes are busy preparing a gender reveal baby shower for Taylor Wright. Rebekah Mikaelson is hosting this lovely event at the ABATTOIR in honor of her best friends growing bundle of joy. Set up for the shower was done with instruction from Caroline Forbes and the layout of the compound as well as the basic plans for the party can be found by clicking here. It will be a brunch setting affair with spa elements implemented. Please wear a white blouse if you believe the child she’s carrying is a boy and gold if you’re certain she’s having a girl. Neutral gifts are preferred and the reveal will be done outside with paints by the end of the party so if you’re wearing something fancy bring a change of clothes. Everyone who attends this shower will leave with a favor located in the link above.

In roleplay time this mini event will be held for exactly one week starting August 5th, 2016. This amount of time should give everyone more than enough opportunity to finish threads before August 12th, 2016. Depending on whether or not everyone finishes before this date will determine if we close it early. We just like to give the maximum amount of time to assure that everyone has the chance to get things done. Event threads should be completely closed by August 12th, 2016. Keep the threads at a minimum of one paragraph ( max twelve sentences ) as one liners are best for these types of events. Please don’t forget to like this post once you’ve read it from beginning to end.

Us admins have put together a few things in which should be played out during the baby shower event but note that format isn’t standard to what the group typically allows. This will be explained underneath each scheduled game. Please note that you can still plot with whomever you want for private threads! 

Guess the Due date. *written* Currently our young mother is eight months pregnant and due in the month of May. Send all guesses to Caroline Forbes and once a winner has been determined you will be notified and your character will leave the party with one of the small party prizes located in the link of the event description. Diaper Raffle. *randomized* If you plan on being apart of the diaper raffle please inform Caroline Forbes of how many packages of diapers you bought so that she can give you the appropriate amount of counts in the raffle. The winner of the raffle will be chosen using the site linked here. If you win the raffle you will be informed and your character will leave the party with the diaper raffle prize. Everyone who participates in the raffle will leave with a participant gift located in the link of the event description.  Cake Plate. *randomized* There is a total of one circulating plate able to win. If you want the chance to win this prize send Caroline Forbes a number between one and eight. If you have chosen a number that’s already reserved she will ask you to choose another number. Once everyone has received their numbers we are going to be using the site linked here to determine a winner. The winner should be notified immediately and your character will leave the party with one of the small party prizes located in the link of the event description. Baby Predictions and Advice. *suggested* You don’t have to fill these out, but if you’re looking to give the mother to be some advice and also do a bit of predicting click here to find the image. You can either directly edit this using the site linked here or you could just answer the questions separately on a word pad. When you’re finished send it straight into Taylor Wright for safe keepings until the little one arrives. Play-Doh Babies. *game* This is going to be a mass thread posted by Taylor Wright. If you aren’t directly speaking to Taylor please aim it at the person you intend on speaking with, but please also know that others are there and may take said post. If this becomes too confusing winners are just going to be picked randomly. Mardi Win

Well, it’s that time again. Mardi Gras and Katherine’s feeling all nostalgic. Glass of the most expensive champagne in one hand, strawberry in the other. Throw in a fancy looking mask and a shortish black dress and color her slutty-sophisticated.

She’s kind of curious, too. Smirk in place as she stands in the courtyard behind the creepy looking mansion that belongs to the Mikaelson family and there’s something just so poetic about it. “Katherine Pierce wins once again.”

Mardi Slay

So, Mardi Gras. Fancy shindig. Lots of dancing, even more booze. A big whatever in Buffy’s eyes because she’s working tonight, so don’t be shocked if you catch her with her party down.

It’s not her ten ‘till four job, either. Nope, this one requires Miss alter ego. She-who-hangs-out-in-cemeteries. Except she’s not hanging, she’s lurking, and this place? Courtyard, not a cemetery...

Either way, full slay mode activated. Beware creepy vampires.

That One Night Ft. Borboun and Bad Decisions // Open

Kol strolled through the streets of the French Quarter, enjoying the festivities that were taking place. The original’s lips quirked up into a sly smile and he casually held a beer bottle in his hand. He occasionally took a swig from it, brow raised and surveying the drunken humans stumbling against one another, dancing and having fun at the never ending party that was Mardi Gras. He was enjoying it as well, though he kept a watchful eye for anything out of the ordinary, anything that his siblings would want to know about.

Truthfully, the young Mikaelson could be manipulative, reckless and brash, not to mention extremely violent and tempermental, but everyone adored Hope, him included. He wasn’t fond of the fact it was Klaus’ offspring, but he would lend whatever efforts he could to finding the child so his brother didn’t go into a rage or do something equally as reckless as he could. So, he kept an eye out.

However, he was not being watchful enough, in certain aspects. He bumped into a figure that he had not previously noticed standing in his path, causing him to almost drop his drink. Kol immediately threw a hand out to assure the other was steady and did not fall, as he steadied himself quickly. “Ah, forgive me, I wasn’t watching where I was going,” He flashed a dazzling smile to the stranger.
