the elementals and gods used to freely in and out of the forest, but they’ve been trapped in it like everyone else and gone a little stir crazy
this one seems p obvious but not outright stated- the crocodile’s son is the carpenter from chapter 1
the queen that the witch is so concerned about is the elf queen
the guard who calls you stubborn is like a father to you
the reason the elf queen keeps taking the witch’s apples is that she believes they can be somehow used to change people back
the witch created the constructs- the pumpkin knight(sorry I forgot his real name), the bunny, the scarecrow and the castle heroes.
she likely created the scarecrow for the church, making me think she’s their ally??? it’s weird to see a witch and a church work together, but we also don’t know the purpose of this church
the bunny was actually the witch’s first experiment in making life, and was her childhood toy.
she used to live in the village, hence why the bunny is seen so close to ordinary humans
the Infected is one of the Apothecary’s experiments
honestly have no idea where the fairy stands in all this. being so powerful it seems she could just fuck off. does she have a stake in getting this curse lifted?
the bosses who’ve turned into animals cannot speak human words, hence why no one listens to the bear, and Red didn’t seemed too concerned to find the octopus.
