I started writing this seven years ago. I do not remember where I was planning to take it. I have not edited it. Have it anyway.

The breath in Kate’s throat catches and stutters when she sees the boy who just killed Xavin.

I know you, her brain whispers. I know your soul.

Right now, she thinks, as shuttered white eyes pass over them all without even noticing, she knows him better than he knows himself.

(They haven’t always been human, but… usually. Earth is where soulmate reincarnation is centered, in many ways. Most alien species don’t have it, and the ones that do only show it sporadically. The others of the Nine Realms have it more, but for some reason, Earth finds herself at the center of things once again.)

(He’s always a little special. An unnatural hair color here, a superpower there, always, always feared by the masses.)

(They should have really been more scared of Kate. She’s the one that always ran the program.)

He doesn’t recognize her, and that, more than anything, scares her. She doesn’t want to imagine what kind of a haze his mind must be in for him to not recognize her.

It doesn’t quite matter, if only because he kicks all their asses and runs off with Billy and Teddy and Xavin and Karolina in tow.

“We’re going to kill him.” Nico says, looking Kate in the eye and daring her to argue.

“No, we’re not,” Kate argues back. “He’s not in his right mind, Nico.”

“And how the hell would you know?” Nico demands.

“Because he’s my soulmate, and yet he didn’t recognize me.” Kate keeps her voice as even as she can.

okay like emmett LOVES their show. he’s been watching them since the beginning 

emmett leaves comments for them all the time. he’s been mentioned on their show. he’s also suggested some mysteries for them to look into

for example:

the asylum Alice was in because obviously it’s haunted

he gets jake into it and Jake suggests they look into monster wolf sightings in washington

“the mysterious death of royce king”

well first of all, kate says, this guy was an absolute dickhead

they find a picture of Rosalie

Kate has a major crush

Emmett is SCREAMING

Kate found that mystery on her own

“what about the town in italy that murder forgot”

chaos!bella and Noh become BESTIES and sometimes when Kate can’t do the show Noh makes bella do it with him

between them they have zero braincells and just spend a week trying to find satanic cultists who will try and sacrifice them

they are, actually, successful. Clint winds up rescuing them

Esme gets those Big Mom Vibes around Noh but like. Pulls an art heist with kate

Carlisle becomes Kate’s go to medical guy

anyway gonna backtrack because what about Leah/Kate/Noh just…two badasses and a himbo

one brain cell between the three of them, always in Leah’s possession

garrett calls them up and informs them of weird history stuff they can’t use on the show

Alice: listen. listen. I need you to introduce me to Janet van Dyne.

Emmett is so excited he knows Avengers he’s like big brother proud of Kate

Edward winds up as a perch for kate which he does not understand. she just. sits on his shoulders.

the cullens decide to let noh and kate do stories on them since emmett already blew their cover and also the miasma of conspiracy theory helps hide them

Marcus loves their show, thinks it’s brilliant

kate: no but okay we went to this mission in texas and weird stuff kept happening what if it was REALLY haunted

kate: ARE GHOSTS REAL?

Bella: we are. literally the last people who would know

kate: oh my god. it was haunted

jasper: ha ha, no, that was maria just fucking with y’all

they do an episode on the rumors of a vampire coven in washington and interview mike newton and charlie

AFTER they know vampires are real

Noh is insistent that it’s aliens

“if it was aliens wouldn’t you know it, since you’re an alien?”

“kate that’s racist, not all aliens know one another.”

he ignores her for the next two hours

they legit interview carlisle to see if he’s ever treated anyone for exsanguination or if he’s ever met anyone with vampire qualities

people post pictures of Carlisle through history on the show’s insta outing him as an immortal so of course nobody believes it

Nick Fury continues to hate this entire production but can’t argue with the results

Considering my focus has been like 90% Girl Genius and 10% Naruto for the past three years or so, this is honestly a little sad, like.

There need to be more NohKate fans? @sergeant-angels-trashcan @lythelia-art help me out here, I can’t be the main source of a ship when I’m barely in the fandom anymore.

Since Noh-Varr has Psychedelic saliva, does that mean Kate got high when she kissed him?

I think the psychedelic saliva is actually a nanobots thing? In which case, probably not, because I imagine Noh-Varr can control it enough to not poison his partner unless he actually MEANS to.
