Just another day in Washington DC, almost 50,000 people gather to rally against the pending permission of the Keystone XL pipeline. This behemoth of a pipeline would stretch 1,7000 miles and carry unconventional tar sands from Canada all the way to Texas. Not only does it threaten indigenous people of Canada, small towns along the way, and water for miles, it threatens to set off one of the largest carbon bombs in the world— the Alberta Tar Sands.
