asana values strength in all kinds i think,, but in herself it's mostly strength in beauty and influence. though i think it'd be better described as power for her then
ngl she kind of doesn't really care about whatever is going on with other people unless it involves/benefits her so. yeah generally she wouldn't care about the strength of others. but to those close to her, she does recognize their best, or strongest, traits. she mostly thinks about these as their 'assets' (so . how they benefit her again HDDHDDH) but this is how she appreciates things most of the time 😭
🩵7. how observant is your oc and how much does it affect them? are they clueless or nearly paranoid?

she. admittedly. is purposely oblivious to a lot of things. this is partly due to her internalizing the image she wants to keep up and partly also due to being babied by espina for so long, but if there are things she deems important, she will notice. for example she's very interested in clothes so she will remember details related to that
paranoia,,,,,, lowkey i think her sense of self preservation has died so she's just kinda carefree 😭 even if something is amiss she will trust espina to do something about it if it's really that bad. if he doesn't think it's a problem, then she won't either. he is her loyal knight, after all /half sarcastic

so. she remembers a lot of things that are only relevant to her and her favorite people and no one else but .um. mood HDDHGDGJ
🖤6. what does your oc have nightmares about?
okay i HAD to answer this first because ive had some thoughts about it before but!!!! surprise fun fact. ironically asana's nightmares tend to involve water and the ocean. she isn't scared of water when she's awake, but her nightmares tend to look that way
one of her first memories as a child is having a nightmare about the ocean (it's genuinely so specific and long to describe it needs its own post) and her mom comforting her
she doesn't have nightmares often but i think in her psyche, it usually represents some kind of loss (the first nightmare was her at 5 years old losing her pillow in the depths of the ocean. and other things). be it a person, an object, or etc. she hates these dreams but refuses to dwell on them so they're often forgotten in time. but she holds onto the first nightmare because it helps her remember her mom
HOWEVER additionally✨️ later in the story she does experience nemesis dreams (which are mentioned in the books she's based on) about espina. these may or may not involve water, but it doesn't really matter. these dreams are usually quite violent. either him killing her or her killing him in various fashions. she always wakes up with the taste of blood in her mouth and awful dissociation. postcanon i think these dreams will become fewer since their story has been wrapped up, so to speak. but sometimes,,,,,,,,, sometimes,,,,

okay first of all i'd love to point you to this ask i answered a while back w arifer aus bc i will be so honest they have maybe 75% of my best aus 🙂↕️ but as for my non om ships i think these have been my favorite aus to play around with:
—nerve au (flaringpainshipping / ninjago)
based off nerve, one of my favorite movies :D
socially anxious ebony gets caught up in a social media game where players are given risky dares by watchers, ranging from embarrassing yourself in public to shoplifting to lying down on train tracks hoping you don't die 🥳 bc. um. ebony is kinda stupid and maybe got peer pressured into joining 😭 and you get money if you do the dare successfully (and more money if you're the last person standing without a failed dare!)
there, he meets lloyd during one of his dares. they take a liking to each other and decide to work together to narrow down their competition. but in the process they learn some unsettling secrets about themselves and the game itself
ill be honest this movie's appeal is 50% aesthetic it is soooo pretty im in love and i need it injected in my veins
fun fact that i love very much: the actor playing the role lloyd is taking in the au is literally lloyd's movie va :) hehe
—palm springs au (arifive / the umbrella academy)
based off another of my favorite movies, palm springs🫶 last one i promise HSFHDGH
five attends his brother's wedding all the way in a place called palm springs. he meets a weird guy, makes out with him, and then somehow finds him and guy(ari!) stuck in a time loop where they repeat the day of the wedding over and over again. as hope of escape dwindles, they start to get to know each other and grow attached. they now need to cope with the meaninglessness of their new lives in the time loop
(they do escape eventually though trust. but not without a lot of struggle and fighting)
arifive in their canon experienced a similar-ish experience, as they were the sole survivors of a post apocalyptic world for 45 years 😭 and there's a dialogue bit in the movie that really reminds me of them it's very special to me:
"what if we get sick of each other?"
"we're already sick of each other. it's the best"
—fantasy au (renachrome / punishing gray raven)
this au i kind of share w my pgr friends :D i haven't thought up much detail but i think my renachrome concept cooks so it has a dear place in my heart. i think it's also the contrast bc pgr is a scifi game. so a fantasy au is just really fun
chrome and renata were childhood friends, with chrome being the prince (and heir) of the human kingdom while renata was the daughter of a duke. little did the nobles know, renata was a changeling fae child planted in the noble ranks by the fae of the woods, who were angered by past deeds of the royal family bloodline. but due to their closeness, renata decided to betray his fellow fae to keep chrome safe in secret
they both grow up, and chrome is the new king. all he knows is that his friend just vanished one day in their childhood. all along, renata has been working disguised as a human amongst the royal blacksmiths, keeping him safe from fae attacks in secret during the night
the highlight of this au is this yearly masquerade ball where renata is too tempted to talk to him despite being ashamed of his heritage. and chrome, in turn, is fascinated by this mysterious figure who seems to understand him so deeply, yet escapes their fleeting conversations as easily as the wind. the tension is crazy and i love that for them
—inseparability au (erinpheus / identity v)
this au is technically rather basic in premise. in the erinpheus canon, orpheus and erinyes are childhood friends forced to separate due to circumstances. they lead horrible lives and eventually return to each other completely fucked up. and it's a toss up on how they deal with that— so this au is basically "what if they never separated? how do their lives play out now?" it's much more lighthearted in story. and mostly about them pining and being silly :) bc of how violent their canon is i find this au refreshing hdshjsg it's like a different way to capture their feelings about each other in a raw plainer setting, untainted by the trauma that changes them
—demon au (erinpheus / identity v)
the concept of this au is jennifer's body meets the summer hikaru died
in a modern day era, erinyes and orpheus are childhood friends, as they usually are. inseparable, until erinyes mysteriously goes missing one day in their high school years. years later, he comes back when orpheus is in college, exactly the same yet still somehow different. he's a demon now! and then hijinks ensue
the recurring theme of conflict i think lies in some of erinpheus's usual themes like "am i still the same person i was before or did what happen to me change me so irreversibly that i must don a new identity to truly exist?" or "can my existence be forgiven if it is inherently wrong?" etc etc they're very emo 😭
so we got a healthy mixture of pseudo-sexual cannibalism, gay people, existential crises, and other horror elements :)
—honorable mention: reanimation au (miss peregrine's)
my selfship isn't a focus here, but it's one of my favorite aus still. there's a cast of 10ish children and my goal was just to shuffle their special abilities and story roles to see how much the story would change :D i love role reversal sm
