Nolan was packing his go bag when he saw his fiance in the doorway. He had gotten the call earlier in the day that his team was getting spun up. He honestly wasn’t sure how he felt about it, he passed all of  his certification to go out with the boys again. But with the baby on the way he wasn’t sure how she’d enjoy him going away and possibly not coming home even if he’d do everything to come back. “Hey babe. How are you and our boy doing?” Nolan asked as he set down the shirt, he knew they hadn’t really had him spin up since returning to the team, and everything. He was going to try to ease her into the idea tonight but when she kind of came home early. He walked over to her now, as he rested his hands on her hips.

Nolan had made sure their son was tucked in, it was hard when he didn’t get Jack every day but it was even harder when he was shipping out. Nolan walked into the living room. “He’s out like a light, thanks for letting me come over and spend one last night with him before I ship out.” Nolan never really knew what came next but he knew that he’d be on a mission where he wouldn’t have much radio contact with home.

Nolan had been listening, which honestly was a lot harder for his male brain than he realized. So that meant paying more attention to his wife as well as his son. He for the first time in a long time had put the seals and his recovery back to it on the back burner to his family. Tonight was different. him and Emery had the entire night alone. They had ended up in bed together, he was hovering over his wife. “I missed you too.” He searched her eyes for a sign but it was her fingers in his hair that had him on a course forward. His body had been brushing against hers for minutes but now he slowly sunk himself into Emery, his eyes never leaving hers just enjoying the sensations of being with her again.

“I don’t know whose more sad that the pools all closed up. Me or Ollie.” Nolan tried to tease his wife as he wrapped his arms around her from behind. “Penny for your thoughts?” Nolan had worked on being present and worrying about the now and not down the line. He had enjoyed all his time with Ollie. “I hope you’re not worried about Thanksgiving because I will help you cook a banging Turkey, and our families will love it.” He mused kissing the side of her head.

It was strange for Nolan being the one that was left home to take care of their place. She had been undercover for the last six months and Nolan knew how shit could go sideways. Davis kept chastising him every time he told her to use the Navy’s resources to check in on his wife. Nolan just needed to know she was safe he didn’t care if he had to make her alias as a damn target package, but he’d make it up to go in there and get her out if he needed too. He had a few short couple week missions in between but it was strange leaving an empty house and coming home the same way. Nolan was out at the bar with the guys trying to clear his mind tonight. He knew his wife would be coming home any day now. When he drove home he saw a light on in the living room so he holstered his gun and carefully went into the unlocked door leading forward until he paused seeing his wife and dropping his weapon. “You’re home.” He said and there was a relief in his tone, he wanted to check her over much like she did when he came home from a mission to make sure there wasn’t any scrapes or bruises on her. “Anyone I need to kill for touching you on your trip?” He tried to play like he hadn’t been checking on her six. Putting his gun down he walked over to her and pulled her into his arms. “Hi love.” He said just glad he could hug his wife again.

The idea of a baby was starting to sink in. He knew it was early yet, but he had gone out under the guise he was meeting the boys for drinks but he hadn’t been hitting the bar. Nor seeing the guys a ton. Instead he had went to the store. Standing in the baby asile was overwhelming but he was on a mission. When her morning or well all day sickness started to kick in he wanted to give her something that put a little smile on her face. Finding the stuffed animal he was looking for he smiled a bit. Foster kids always got stuffed animals, he remembered the bunch he had amassed as a little boy. Maybe that’s why he was building that connection or wanted their baby to have something of theirs. So he picked up the stuffed elephant he brought it to check out after grabbing a few more things and went home. Nolan hid the animal behind his back. “How you feeling?” He asked her with a little smile as he walked over and kissed her temple.

Andi and Caden had Ollie, they had just watched Gemma the night before and he honestly was excited for a date night with his wife. He told her tonight’s date was a surprise he had her get dressed up when he was dropping the kids off with her friend and then was walking into their house. “You better be ready for date night, I am so ready to have a kid free night.” Nolan went to the freezer where he grabbed the bottle of wine out, he had cooked them a dinner a little earlier when he had been making the kids lunch and everything was set up out back on a blanket for a little picnic under the stars with their twinkly lights all set up as well to kind of give them their private oasis out back.

She was a temptest. That was for sure, he had done his best to be good but that was damn hard when she gave him that look. “Come on you need to be careful.” His heart came from a place of concern. Nolan wasn’t one to often turn her down but as she continued to push and he felt her arms snake around his neck, he couldn’t help but lean down and kiss her gently. When their bodies were reversed he looked up at his girl and just shook his head.  “You better be careful, If you hurt yourself I’ll kill you.” He mumbled as he couldn’t help but look over her frame.
