@marimelwrites | just because I can't stop thinking about it!
"I don't know why I'm so nervous!" Riley admitted to Adem, leaning so she could see around him to the crowd of people streaming out of the arena. They were waiting for his younger brother, a player on the team that had just competed against the Bruins at the Garden, and though she was supposed to stay hidden she couldn't help trying to spot him in the sea of faces.
It had been years since she'd seen Taner, and she was a mixture of excitement and nerves at the thought of surprising him here. She'd only recently reconnected with Adem, and though she hadn't been as close with Taner in their younger years, she'd always had a soft spot for him in her heart. Now she met Adem's gaze, biting her lip nervously before asking him again, "Are you sure he'll be okay with me crashing your dinner plans?"

Nolan was packing his go bag when he saw his fiance in the doorway. He had gotten the call earlier in the day that his team was getting spun up. He honestly wasn’t sure how he felt about it, he passed all of his certification to go out with the boys again. But with the baby on the way he wasn’t sure how she’d enjoy him going away and possibly not coming home even if he’d do everything to come back. “Hey babe. How are you and our boy doing?” Nolan asked as he set down the shirt, he knew they hadn’t really had him spin up since returning to the team, and everything. He was going to try to ease her into the idea tonight but when she kind of came home early. He walked over to her now, as he rested his hands on her hips.

Finan was excited about this upcoming weekend. He’d finally been able to tempt his friend Madeleine to come with him for a hiking weekend if he threw in something adventurous. Since there was rafting and some other things very closeby ,he’d give her the choice.
It would be fun to get out there together, he usually worked alone and was sometimes gone for weeks at a time, he’d missed spending time with her. He walked up to her door and knocked, stepping back and waiting for her to answer.
“Hey darlin’, ready to go?” He asked with a smile as he put his hands in his pockets. “We’ve got some time, cabin’s only ready in ta afternoon but I thought we could check some out along the way.”

There isn’t much nobility in watching a woman eat, especially when her company is something to hope for more of. Regardless of his own thought of nobility, or his respect for the woman he’d only just met, Noah found it more difficult with each passing moment not to sneak a glance in her direction. A well placed bite brining his own lips to smile amidst a push of a taco between them. Grandiose ideas of life were produced from the mind of the young woman, and yet she was just as much human as he was. Madeleine was a soft creature, through the crunch of lettuce and the exchanged giggles each time she caught him spying. What made it delightful for No was the human feeling he had swelling in his chest. Not cut off from the world, bored with his lack of connection and angry with his unwillingness to set it right. No, he was finally breathing fresh air into dry lungs. His mind was excited, enthralled with possibilities that she had sprung forth.
Noah hadn’t let a moment stray away from him since he’d met her, finally living to see each second rather than what his future might be. Maybe it was ludicrous, thinking that something so small could be so largely impactful. With a late dinner aside, and his belly not only fueled by nervousness, his deft fingers wound their way back into the unfamiliar comfort of Maddie’s. Palm against palm, rosy cheeks blossoming once more to keep his eyes down to his shoes, a thought bubbles behind them. Dancing in the street had been proposed, and it was certainly agreeable on the calmly weathered night. No hadn’t known where his feet would take them, but there weren’t many people out at the hour despite the raging party they’d left behind. Nobody was panhandling for coins, there wasn’t people huddled together outside pubs, and there certainly weren’t any people who could give them a sideways glance about unmentioned plans.
Streetlights flashed yellow to signal the late hour, but for once he didn’t take them as a sign he needed to head home. Instead, he led the brunette away from the taco stand and down the quiet streets he was used to seeing bustling with life. His fingers were chilled outside of their place in his pocket, but yet warmed by the embrace of her’s. “There’s a street up the road I used to frequent a lot when I was new to the city. In the springtime there’s lots of colors, tulips and roses lining the window boxes.” Finally turning downcast eyes toward the dark haired woman, he smiled nervously. “Even without the flowers I suppose it’s still a rather nice street.” Explaining his choice in the path they were on made sense to his own mind, but he couldn’t say that it made any sense to the other. With a breath outward, nearly fogging in the air before his lips, he tried to put on a more confident smile. “Let me take you there, I think it’ll be even more beautiful to see you there than the flowers.”

“Hey, you came!” Eli grinned widely as he watched Emine walking across the sand toward him. He was pleasantly surprised considering it was a spur of the moment decision to come to the beach today. His friends were all hanging out and they’d been bugging him on when they were going to meet the girl who’d been taking up all of his time lately. He met her halfway and wrapped his arms around her in a big bear hug. “Hey, come meet the guys.” He introduced them all and then her to them before offering her a drink from the cooler. “You want to get out there and swim or you want to lay in the sun for a while, whatcha wanna do?”

“One more chapter, I prom–” She couldn’t finish the thought, feeling his lips against her neck, suddenly tickling her. As light giggles spilled from her lips, Isabelle set the book aside and turned to her husband. “Okay then. You’ve got my full attention now.”
