If you want the comforting tastes of lasagna but don't want to spend hours layering it, this Lazy Lasagna recipe is perfect for you. Break up lasagna noodles and cook them right in the sauce. This saves time and effort without sacrificing taste. This meal is hearty and filling, with beef, cheese, and noodles on top. The whole family will love it.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1 onion, chopped. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 can 28 oz crushed tomatoes. 1 can 8 oz tomato sauce. 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning. Salt and pepper to taste. 12 oz lasagna noodles, uncooked and broken into pieces. 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese. 1 cup ricotta cheese. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. Fresh basil leaves for garnish optional.
Instructions: Put ground beef, onion, and garlic in a large skillet. Cook over medium-low heat until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Remove any extra fat from the skillet. It's time to add the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, and pepper. Bring the mix to a low boil. Break up the lasagna noodles and stir them in. Cover and cook for about 20 minutes, stirring every now and then, until noodles are soft. Warm the oven up to 175F 350C. Put half of the beef and noodle mixture in a 9x13-inch baking dish that has been greased. Use half of the mozzarella, ricotta, and Parmesan cheeses to cover the top. Add more layers with the rest of the ingredients. Put foil over it and bake for 20 minutes. Take off the foil and bake for another 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown. Give it five minutes to sit before you serve. If you want, you can add fresh basil leaves as a garnish. Enjoy while hot!
