This is incorrect. Sirens do not kill their mothers upon being birthed. There is no evidence of this in Borderlands.

I just wanted to comment that Junx isn't actually a racist caricature, she's actually based of a myth in Japan. I can't recall the name right now but Gaijin Goomba did a video about it on youtube. People just assumed it was racist and nintendo changed it rather than try to explain.
