Drama:
Favourite fictional family?
My favorite fictional family of sorts is the kind of thrown together family in Howl’s Moving Castle: Howl, Sophie, Calcifer, and Michael.
A book that made you feel a range of emotions?
The book Struck by Lightning by Chris Colfer. I was hooked, happy, sad, and mostly infuriated with the book. It’s probably one of the books I’ve read with a great emotional range, though I’m a little fuzzy on if it’s the greatest emotional range.
Romance:
Favourite fictional couple?
This is a tough one! There are too many to choose from! One of many favorites is the lead couple/characters from The Accidental Marriage by Christina Skye. The couple (and story) is a little cliche, it’s easily still one of my favorites.
A book that broke your heart?
A book that has really broken my heart would be A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin. He’s a character killing bastard and it’s hard not to have your heart broken when reading the Song of Fire and Ice series.
Comedy:
Character that made you laugh the most?
Dog, from Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Prachett. He’s a hellhound who’s been bound to the fate of a small house dog by the antichrist and Dog’s internalizations are absolutely hilarious.
Funniest quote from a favourite book?
“Ninety-five percent of happiness,” I said, “is picking the right person to love.”
“What’s the other five percent?” said Andre.
“That I don’t know.”
Horror:
A book that terrified you?
I haven’t really read much horror and I don’t suspect there’s much written fiction that can terrify me.
Favourite fictional villain?
I don’t really have a favorite fictional villain. I do however really like the antagonistic circumstance that drives the book Slammed by Colleen Hoover.
Fantasy:
Fantasy world you’d most like to live in?
Any that have air-conditioning and books would suffice.
Favourite mythical or fictional creature?
George Pendle’s Death. He’s sarcastic and strikingly human for the grim reaper.
Sci-fi:
Super power you’d most like to have?
The ability to read minds. It would make writing characters and blackmailing people SO much easier.
Fictional technology you want to be real?
Crowley’s almost indestructible Bentley from Good Omens, though I’d also like mine with an iPod input.
Mystery:
Your favourite fictional criminal?
The camerlengo from Angels and Demons. He both simultaneously plays a hero and a villain.
Most dramatic plot twist you’ve ever read?
Angels and Demons, no spoilers, read the book.
Fairy Tale:
A story you loved as a child and still adore?
I don’t really have any that I’ve loved since childhood. My tastes change.
Mythical beings you’d most like to be?
Shapeshifter! :D
