@nomatic asked us to post our favorite moment from this year. Honestly there weren’t many. I struggle with the loss of my creativity. My mom was dying of cancer. I lost her a few weeks later and wasn’t able to attend her services because I got Covid from a well wisher. I then had 3 surgeries because kidney stones blocked my kidney. However this moment right here as I stood on the rocks to the breakwater light, Alone at blue hour with my @nikonusa D7500 and 200-500mm was the only good moment I had this year. It was a time to myself to allow all the chaos in my life to go silent. Just me and my camera and the beauty of the @rockland.maine Coastline. I waited patiently for a fishing boat to pass to show the Owls Head Light’s true purpose. The peace I felt in that moment is the only true peace I have felt this year. I came home and put my camera bag under my desk and it has stayed there since June. My creativity seems to be lost. I know I will get it back but for now my camera stays in the bag, waiting for me. #nomatic100 @petermckinnon #maine #mainelighthouse #mainecoastline #nikon #lostcreativity #breakwaterlight #owlsheadlight #rocklandharbor (at Rockland Harbor Breakwater Light) https://www.instagram.com/p/CmB4tJrupgV/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
