subscribed to blogilates’ noMAYBe’s calendar, time to get fit! I entered into a fitness challenge at work, i had to lose 6% of my weight in 8 weeks. i’m about 6lbs down, and need to lose the last 5 in just under a week. most of that will be water weight if i acheive it, but that’s okay! my real goal is to be 170lbs by the end of May, and I’m hoping these workouts and Cassey will help me. I’ve got 12lbs to go c: Let’s all make May count!

New outfit women soccerteam US not reveived well

The US women’s team travels to Canada this summer for the World Cup and does so in new uniforms. The shirts, shorts and socks are traditionally provided by Nike on the US team, but the creation that has now come out of the tube, it is not for every football fan in the States.

The biggest problem: the America distinctive colors red and blue are nowhere to be seen. Green and black are though.

The white shirts and pants contain black accents and the stockings are fluorescent green, a color that Nike has obtained by mixing lightning yellow with the blue of the Canadian lakes. And that explanation works certainly for the Americans like a red rag to a bull. “We play soccer in a Canadian shirt? We are talking about an American team that America represents in a tournament in which other countries are included, but we do so in an outfit that nothing has to do with America?”, A furious USA Today asks.

Unlike many other countries, Americans regularly play in totally different shirts. Last summer, the men had a red shirt with a white and blue track at the top. Before it was a horizontal red and white striped shirt, and before that a plain white polo home shirt. According to the newspaper Nike arranged a bunch of American outfits, but they have so far understood at least one thing: the colors red and blue must accompany the white part of the shirt.

The slogan – No Maybes – which Nike has launched together with the shirt, makes the whole situation not much better according to USA Today. “No Maybe? Nike wants it mean that maybe nobody wants to buy this hideous shirt.”
