There’s something about curling up with a friend, listening to their slow breathing - and heartbeat - as you yourself begin to fall asleep. Warm, with a friend, nothing to worry about. Soooo much whining and complaining and general venting goes on. Rikard doesn’t mind because tasty friend, but also because it’s safe (in the sense that she’s unlikely to take her frustrations out on someone else) and often he can talk her through issues or down from the anger. If, for some reason, they’re out in public, she can make snide comments about anyone she hears with little worry that they’d overhear her.

If “paying for” means “facing the rightful consequences of being a vindictive prankster”, then yes. However, sometimes it means begging to be eaten or promising favors if she really honestly deserved to be caught. Alas, that’s what you get when your predator is Good with a very vocal conscience.
