Those of you who have been recently following my Instagram may have seen that I have started a cheeky mission of spamming my images with #nomoreegoblog. To be honest, I enjoy the beautifully selected pictures bloggers have to showcase, who does not want a dynamic feed of perfect and pretty women flashing dazzling smiles in every single post?
The thing is, I feel I want to know more. I want to know what these ladies have to offer, what their talents are, what they do for a living, what they have to offer the world. Today, there are so many creatives that do not have the sufficient visibility, individuals that find pleasure in making art or inspiring us into being different and being ourselves…
This is the reason why when I came across this incredible EDIT from & Other Stories (congratulations by the way) I was thrilled and so happy that other have also noticed the importance of showing the other sides to the fashion industry. Not only the pretty bloggers, but the amazing women with the minds behind it all. The ones who also drive trends and brands from the back seat, those who without being in magazine covers, word hard every day for their career and have managed to be recognized for it. Today I present to you:
Quizá habéis podido ver (si seguís mi IG) que últimamente me he tomado la liberta de montar una mini-campaña contra Instagram “Spameando” mis imágenes con el hashtag #nomoreegoblog. Cada vez me aparecen en sugerencias más y más imágenes de chicas jóvenes guapísimas que al parecer sólo tienen el objetivo de subir fotos en las que ellas salen preciosas con un estilismo particular y una recomendación de una marca. Esta está bien pero echo de menos sus historias, sus talentos, sus ambiciones. Estoy segura, que todos los “likes” y los miles de seguidores vienen en masas como consecuencia de tener estas mujercitas talentos increíbles…entonces pido a IG que nos los enseñe. No quiero ver lo superficial de una foto con una cara sonriente bonita, quiero ver que oficio tienen estas chicas, quiero entender como son de creativas…a qué se dedican…
Quiero encontrar en ellas un ejemplo de motivación e inspiración. Lo importante no debe ser lo que uno parece sino lo que uno es capaz de crear. Deberíamos estar constantemente pensado en qué podemos mejorar, qué se nos da bien, cómo podemos elaborar algo que nos inspire a nosotros y los demás.
Por esta razón, al encontrar esta historia de & Other Stories, me he conmovido lo suficiente como para realizar un post sobre ello. Quiero ser como estar mujeres, fuertes, exitosas y estilosas, con líneas en sus caras que demuestren su camino y su experiencia, quiero ser una “creativa” de mi trabajo.
