The Knife🔪 Angel👼🏻
On a Thursday night🌃 before Easter🐣, my friend and I just finished our add-vantage class. Suddenly, we found a huge sculpture beside our cathedral and there were too many people around it and took some pictures of it. With our curiosity, we went to it. The first time I saw this sculpture, I think it was a normal one. But when I got close to it, I realized that it was made of knives. I thought it must be a story behind this sculpture. I walked to the information board.
Under the banner ‘Save a Life, Surrender your Knife’ the Centre sought permission from the Home Office, to work with all 43 UK Police Forces to retrieve knives from the streets of the UK, by providing knife banks to educate and raise awareness of the horrors of knife crime.
👀Rethink👅
After seeing this art, I also know that the scope of art is large. We can not only express what we want to say, but also give a voice to some social issues. We can use different ways in art for helping others to say what they want to say, like poster, website, logo, advertisements and so on.
On the other hand🖐🏻 , I want to change the sculpture. Because I only took a few classes in high school🏫. I think sculpture is a test of people’s patience. You need to calm down and take a good look at your sculpture. It’s a 3D work, when you do your work, you need to look your work with 360 degrees at a time and know which part you’re not doing well. We can’t do it without drawing drafts in differernt directions.
