Do you headcanon Yang as a lesbian or pan? Because if you hc her as pan, there’s a lot of potential for an AU where Yang develops a crush on Blake before she even talks to her to find out Blake’s gender. Like “idk if they’re a boy or a girl or both or neither or maybe but I waaaaaant”
I generally hc her as a lesbian, but pan Yang is also fantastic. And this AU, anon, is also fantastic.
I just imagine Yang constantly asking her buddy Weiss “Hey, hey you think I have a shot? Should I ask ‘em out?”
And Weiss is just like “I can’t even tell if they’re a boy or a girl or—”
“Yeah yeah I don’t care, I asked if you think I’ve got a shot tho.”
And when she finally does ask Blake out, Blake doesn’t even bother telling Yang their gender because they already know Yang likes them either way so why not play around a bit?
