Roman River Music Launch
Roman River Music hosted their Festival Programme launch at the Colchester Castle on Friday 16th May.
I started working with the music & arts festival a year ago supporting their social media, website, and brochure design. We've created a fantastic new brochure for 2014 featuring the Festival Artist Luke Elwes on the cover.
We had an exclusive first peek at the brochure, heard more from Artistic Director Orlando Jopling, and enjoying a small choral recital by Chris Borrett, Charlotte and Rupert from the Marian Consort. You can catch them at ‘An Emerald in a Work of Gold‘ in Copford Church on Thursday 2nd October from 8pm.
I'm really proud to get the opportunity to help create a physical and digital outlet for Orlando Jopling's vision and create something that showcases the superb range of events and happenings he's curated for the town. My recommendations are: Nonclassical Clubnight Friday 19th September @ St Martin's Church, Colchester A nonclassical (but actually classical) club night with Gabriel Prokofiev, a London-based composer, producer, DJ and founder of the Nonclassical record label & club night. They are bringing their evening of tunes to Colchester with music created from everyday sounds. Alongside Shobana Jeyasingh’s dance piece Strange Blooms, you can boogie to samples of 18th century harpsichord music, Cello Multitracks features 9 pre-recorded cellists and a live soloist. Oynx Brass Sunday 21st September @ St Peter's Chuch, Colchester Onyx Brass are leading the brass quintet as a medium for serious chamber music, but with a seriously entertaining and articulate style. They've been commissioned and performed over 100 new works, with many more in the pipeline. They going to be in Colchester town, just off North Hill, so don't miss their warm rich and fun sound.
The festival runs from 18th September to the 5th October 2014. All the events are now available to view online. Public booking opens on the 16th June.
