Are dance competitions rigged?

the ones for “dance moms” have basically been rigged since at least s3. many of those competitions are staged specifically for the show. as for non-dm competitions, I think there can be a level of bias. the tda that the aldc went to gave maddie 4th place for best dancer, which I don’t think was because of her abilities but because of her name. but I wouldn’t say those competitions are rigged.

Update on Lilia’s mom: On October 23, 2019, U.S. District Court Judge Indira Talwani sentenced Buckingham to 21 days in prison, a $40,000 fine, and one year of supervised release.

Jaycee got a nose job. She actually explained it in her latest youtube video. Her grandmother told her it was the best decision she ever made.(two different anons, but on the same thing)

well. that’s sad. isn’t she the one with severe hip problems? so that money could be going towards more important things than a cosmetic nose job? and really, no offense, but I think plastic surgery should only be for medical reasons, especially when it comes to minors.

My friend and I were just talking about random things and the topic of "if you're older, is it alright to support younger stars". That got me thinking and let me know what your thoughts are. I believe you're around Nia's age or maybe a little bit higher (I'm not sure), but here's my questions 1) can you support someone younger and genuinely like their music? 2) even though their famous, they're still younger than you, would it be right to go to a concert or meet them? (Pt 1)

3) it’s it right to be friends with someone younger than you? (Ex: Tonya and Maddie/Summer and Maddie) 4) on a scale from 1M-1M, how weird is it to want plastic surgery to look like a young celebrity? (I legit heard this today, I have super mixed feelings of WHY and YOU LYING) 5) would you ever consider being friends with anyone younger? 6) is it weird to ship people younger than you? (My friend asked this 😂) (Pt 2)

I’m 21, so more brooke’s age. and this got long so under the cut lol.

1) yeah I think so. I like sabrina carpenter’s music a lot, and she’s a couple years younger than me.

2) it depends. me going to a sabrina carpenter concert and meeting her wouldn’t be weird. a 50 year old going to a sabrina carpenter concert and meeting her would be a little weird. (not that they couldn’t enjoy listening to her music but.) I think boundaries and respect are important when it comes to situations like that.

3) depends again. I took a class this past semester with a lot of grad students in their late 20s and early 30s, and I was friendly with a few of them. I think you just have to be aware of the different life experiences people at different stages will have. those maddie relationships you mention do sometimes weird me out just because the people act like she is their Best Friend Ever who they pour their heart and soul to and it’s like…..you’re a grown adult and she’s a teenager. calm yourself a little.

4) incredibly weird and creepy and should never be allowed to happen lol.

5) depends how young lol. at this point in my life, I think the youngest age group I would be friends with (as in hang out and talk to consistently) would be seniors in high school. me almost being a senior in college, I would feel too far removed from even a junior in high school at this point. I would still be friendly to them, but I wouldn’t want to hang out exclusively with like a group of them.

6) ship real people younger than you? I think it’s weird in general to ship real life people lol. I can understand being a fan of a relationship between two celebs. like I thought richard madden and jenna coleman were really cute together. and I thought the friendship between sabrina carpenter and rowan blanchard was a really sweet friendship when they were on “girl meets world”. but having an active interest in the romantic life of someone younger than me? too weird for me lol.

Did you see Jane Buckinggam, Lilia’s mom was charged in that college scam. Apparently she paid someone to pose as her son to take a test to get into USC!

Oh my god the tea. So Lilia’s mom was part of a scam where someone took the ACT (college entrance exam) for her son to get into college and paid 50k and in the court records she indicated she had wanted to do the same for Lilia because she’s not a “great test taker.” What the hell.

Lilia’s mom is involved in the college admissions scandal!! Apparently she paid 50K for some to take her’s sons ACT on his behalf so he could get into a college like USC and then she mentioned she wanted to do the same with Lilia because “she wasn’t a great test taker” WTFOMG!!! There is currently a huge college cheating scandal where rich/famous parents paid huge amount of money to get their kids into college and guess who was involved ?? Jane Buckingham! Lilia‘s mom.

Jane Buckingham got arrested for fraud and bribing a college and a scam artist to get her son Jack into college. She was planning on doing the same thing for Lilia too, because “Lilia isn’t good at taking tests”. Aunt Becky from fuller house was arrested as well for doing that for both her ungrateful children (mainly OLIVIA)

lmaooo people are sending hate lilia’s way because her mother got arrested for cheating on a sat exam; she paid someone to do her son’s sat test for him and get a passing grade.

FJDLAFJSDLAFJ D OH MY GOD I’m Shrieking. this really comes as no surprise though. all these rich dumbasses are leeches, and they use everything at their disposal to get ahead, including paying ridiculous sums of money to bribe their way into college instead of, idk, educating their children. on the one hand I guess it’s good for lilia that she’s not in college yet so she’s not part of the scandal; on the other hand, how does that look on college applications? “yeah, my mom is in prison for scamming my brother’s way into college.” go be a rich, dumb insta influencer, that’s what you would use the degree for anyway.

Olivia Jade and her sister dropped out of usc, but apparently not because they felt like they were undeserving of the spot but because they were scared they would get bullied if they went back. I hope they understand the implications of their actions on people who deserved that spot ! And don't just see theirselves as the victims

Ok but kids like lilia are homeschooled with private tutors , every single priviledge possible and they can't even study enough to pass one test... Talk about being lazy!

honestly lmao. and it’s also like, her mom saying she’s not a good test taker…well maybe that’s because she doesn’t go to a real school so she has no experience taking standardized tests! it’s almost like me and my public school peers had some idea of what to expect because we’d been taking standardized tests since 3rd grade! 

and it’s no wonder kids like lori loughlin’s daughters clearly didn’t give a rat’s ass about college once they had bribed their way in. if school is squeezed in between posting on instagram and walking on red carpets, then of course you’re not gonna know how to handle actually going to school, actually going to a classroom and sitting there for an extended period of time. all the money in the world can’t buy these maladjusted idiots the real world experience of being a student in this country.
