Prisoner
Cw for death
As I walk back to my cell, I look at the last place my friend sat. I remember how we used to chat, used to make fun of each other, used to protect him. Now, he is gone. The first person who truly challenges me, who truly pushes my ideals. His corpse has already been cremated, and I’m wearing an urn with him inside. The warden looked at me with a mix of confusion and pity, as I mourned my best friend. The guilt and shame inside my heart consumes me, I can not bear to look at his face engraved in the urn necklace I’m wearing. As I know that my actions ultimately led to his demise, as I’m the person who started the coup, as I am the one who persuaded him to join me in my cause, as I am the mastermind of the entire plan. Everyone, they got punished for my sins. My penalty for everything is to be the one who survives. In this hellish place, my morale reduced a tiny bit, day by day. Becoming desolate by each passing day. This is my fate for defying the system that leads to the same events that I organized. I never knew if this is all my fault or not. But I guess it is my fault, and I’m just a pathetic criminal who wants attention and power. I truly got what was coming, no?
