Hi! I hope this is okay to ask. Your posts have really increased my awareness of Native American agricultural practices and I want to educate myself more on the subject. I've been looking into books/resources to read, and I was wondering if you might have any recommendations (or know of people who do)? Thanks!
well i am not indigenous by any stretch of the imagination so i would point you toward finding out whose land you live on and looking to see what information they offer, first. i do have a tag for indigenous agriculture that might have some things of interest to you. civil eats is a good website for food & ag in general that also frequently features indigenous topics.
you’ll probably find this mentioned a dozen places if you start looking but read braiding sweetgrass by robin wall kimmerer, it’s not so much specifically about ag as relationships with plants and land but read it anyway because it’s beautiful and one of my top 5 favorite books.
