"I can't do it." Cinder sobbed, pulling violently on her hair, a bad habit she had recently gotten into when stressed. She often wondered, if she tugged hard enough, if it would come out. "Hey stop that." Thorne calmly moved her hands from the brown strands, but Cinder simply hit him away. "Look, Kai's gonna be back anytime now, just... Just hold it together..." Thorne bit his lip. He was never one for comforting, and he hadn't quite seen Cinder ever have a breakdown like this before. "I can't. I can't be queen. I can't have a child. I can't rule a country and I can't have2 nations depending on me!" Cinder stood and slammed her metal fist against the wall, slightly cracking the glorious rampion, "HEY! Do not hurt my baby! Sheesh." Thorne dusted the wall gently, and then looked at Cinde, "also, all your thrashing will hurt YOUR baby, so you should stop." Cinder glared at him, and threw her arms in the air, "what if I end up parenting like my mother? What if I end up ruling like Levana?! What if I-" "Cinder. There are so many what ifs. Remember the old ones? What if Kai married Levana. What if he hated you? What if we didn't save Scarlet? What if my sight doesn't comeback? What if we don't defeat Levana and she murders us all and consumes the earth and leaves her people helpless and needy? There will always be what ifs and there will always be solutions. But what you don't need todo is worry about that. Take a breather.CHILL. Go stare at hot dudes. Go- fix something on the ship. Maybe the wall you just broke..." Thorne paused and gently brushed the silver wall, and Cinder let out a small chuckle. "anyways, I've never seen you act like this. Pull yourself together. Your bigger than this. Okay?" Cinder sighed, nodding her head, and looked down at her growing stomach. "I think it'll be a boy." Thorne smiled, and walked closer to her, "what will you name him?" Cinder paused, contemplating, "I had one name in mind" "Which is?" Thorne rolled his eyes, already impatient with her lolly gagging, "A person who isn't afraid to tell me to shape up... A person who loves me even when I screwup... Someone who's been by my side since day one..." Cinder raised her eyebrows, but Thorne shrugged, "I dunno, Kai Jr. Doesn't have a very nice ring to it..." Cinder laughed and punched his arm, "I was thinking more along the lines of... Carswell?" Thorne's face lit up, and he casually brushed his shoulder, "I knew it, Lihn Cinder. I knew one day you would fall for my charm and good looks. Everyone does!" Thorne crossed his arms and puffed his chest, and Cinder groaned, "on second thought, Kai Jr. IS pretty interesting..." She laughed, and Thorne hugged her. "I'd be honored to share a name with what will probably be the biggest heart throb since, well, me." "Oh, I'm sure he will be." Cinder laughed, and Thorne held her at her shoulders, looking her dead-pan in the face, "it's all in the name, sweetheart. Be prepared." And with that, he winked, exiting the small media room.
