Idk why, but I have this headcanon that Five is actually non-binary, based on the fact that in S1EP2, Five called out for both Vanya and Ben. This implies that everyone’s already got their names, but Five doesn’t. Therefore, I’m thinking that Grace asked Five if they wanted a name, but they said no, based on fact that they probably thought that having a name also meant that they had to be a boy. Instead of just being called a number, and not really having a gender.
