Today is Transgender Day of Visibility! We see, hear, and value trans youth every day, all year long, but especially today, and especially on the heels of harmful legislation in Arkansas that sets back medical care for trans youth. Now more than ever it is important to show support for all of the trans youth in your life, whether that’s your friends, your family, your classmates, or even yourself (sometimes supporting yourself can be the hardest of all). 

Whether you are out or not, wherever you are on your gender identity journey, YOU. ARE. VALID. You are YOU. And that is what is most important. You deserve to be seen, to be believed in who you are, and to be able to live as yourself; whoever that might be today, tomorrow, next week, or next year. You are LOVED.

And in case the only way you can get a chance to see people like you is in the pages of a book, here are some books about trans and non-binary teens (most of which are by trans and non-binary authors too!), as well as some non-fiction books about queer and trans identities.
