We have to educate ourselves.
Educate ourselves on the strife, hatred, and pain black people have experienced for generations. We have to listen to the black community - black creators, black writers, black speakers, black leaders. It’s not our place to speak for them or tell them how to feel about the events currently taking place.
I am a POC, but I will never understand what it means to be black in America. However, that doesn’t mean that I won’t try be an ally, stand alongside them, and fight for them to have a platform as much as I possibly can, whether that's attending protests, donating funds, or creating awareness of the systematic oppression that exists towards the black community in this country.

I understand that this is a difficult and frustrating time, but know that this is something worth fighting for. White/POC silence is compliance, and now is the time to act.
