It's been a long time since I drew anything
Yesterday I accompanied my mother to bring some soil from the forest to plant a pair of orchids that they gave her on the last trip we made and I found an abandoned doll
Generally I was not interested in "cryptic" things of this style, but this one in particular caught my attention.
I liked it, should I have brought her home?
I found a lizard in my backyard
It is a Texas alligator lizard (gerrhonotus infernalis) they are quite common for my region, more now in early spring
They feed on insects (moths, crickets, grasshoppers, etc.) although I have read that they can also eat small eggs or newborn mice
They are also able to drop the tail as a defense method (which grows back, but not as long as before) although they generally prefer to hiss and show the inside of their almost black mouth and their blue tongue (like skinks).
They are slow moving, although if they are in need they can move very fast combining a movement of crawling with running, in addition, they are semi-arboreal so their tail is semi-prehensile
Unfortunately many people believe they are poisonous and kill them, in addition to being in constant danger by feral/stray cats and dogs.
Anyway, later I'm going to leave him in the woods to try and keep him from going into the wrong backyard and I could take the opportunity to see if I find any new skull hahaha
My cat is going to make me cry
You see, in my house we have the habit of going on a trip, literally overnight, because my dad has a job that they send him to different places at least once a month
When we go out and with so little planning there is always a truly unusual amount of acrivity that my cat has associated with staying alone in a room for several days (obviously with plenty of food and water available)
So, today my dad was going out (alone) and started packing a suitcase and my cat noticed that something was up
We always put our suitcases in large plastic bags so that if it rains they don't get wet and my cat has noticed that, so when she saw my dad in such a hurry she believed that we would all go out and when she hated being alone she tried to get into a suitcase from the previous trip and failing several times, she chose to get into one of those big bags because she believed that when we left we would take all the bags and she would go in one of the bags with us.
God, I will hate to leave her alone even more when we go out from now on
Last night I was having a hard time sleeping again and my mind went to work
I draw a weird coyote in a weird style
Hmmm a skunk entered my backyard
He was inspecting my coops
Of course my parents wouldn't let me go out and try to take a picture of him, despite telling them that it's relatively difficult for a skunk to spray you but that's fine
By the way, he got a little nervous about my dog's barking and now the whole place sucks, I guess just let go some of his scent as a warning but, damn! If that's a warning I wouldn't want to know what a true defensive action is
Today the sky looked like heaven in an old painting
My crayfish shed again the last night, it is strange because it shed the first days of this month (March) so it is rare
But, damn! It's huge, is MASIVE
Just look at the difference in size of the current claws compared to the shed, I don't know what the hell with it
I also find it interesting the color change that it has had since I have it, at first it was pale reddish, then it was red with a black stripe on top, then it continued to be red and black but with blue claws, and now it is predominantly dark blue with those gigantic bright blue claws
