I sew extremely basic punk garments sometimes (DIY or die, let's go) using my basic Dollar Tree kit and simple sewing knowledge from the old Southern Belles of my family, and seeing what you make for some reason just inspires me to whip out a needle and thread and go to town. Like, I know I'm not making shit NEARLY as nice,,, but sometimes sewing just to fucking sew is fun??? who knew

Seeing other people sew stuff inspires me too, even if it’s totally different stuff. I’m most of the way through watching all of Bernadette Banner’s videos and they’re just so delightful because you can hear how enthusiastic she is about historical sewing techniques! Just as enthusiastic as I am about slightly different historical sewing techniques!
I have painted and sewn on exactly one (1) patch in my life waaay back in 2015 and the coat I put it on doesn’t fit anymore (and is not a reflection of my current sewing skills) and I haven’t worn it in ages. I should maybe find something else to put it on.
My motivation for writing “Mozart” in a metal font was the same as my motivation for making jeeches. Just. because.
