Goodbye
Hello our lovely followers!
Well, I guess we don’t have any followers anymore since this is a different account, but well. The greeting still stands for our old followers. As you may know, a couple days ago Tumblr went through some changes where blogs that were created before 2013 were required to reset their password, which definitely caught me by surprise. I thought I would be able to, but, as it turns out, the password reset link was sent to an email the original creator of noncanonexo had made that I do not have access to.
Naturally I tried searching for other ways to regain access to the blog, such as Tumblr support, or trying to find a way to gain recovery of our account with a different email and looking for ways to contact the previous/original admins but, unfortunately, I was unsuccessful in my search.
With that being said, I am sure you can imagine my devastation upon realizing that I now have no way to regain access to noncanonexo.
I have considered creating a new blog to continue bringing forward new stories in the fandom, but I don’t think I can do it. I honestly just don’t have the heart to start a new one. I understand that this may be selfish of me, but I have been near single-handedly running noncanonexo by myself for more-or-less a year (Admin H has mostly been behind the scenes and giving me support when I need it), and I have put so much time, effort, and dedication into that blog that I do not think I could start from scratch without feeling like I lost a huge part of myself. Fandom has been such a wonderful portion of my life and I am so grateful to have had the privilege to share some of my favorite pieces of work with you guys. So it is with a heavy heart that I announce that noncanonexo will be coming to an end.
I'll still be around in fandom, I'm not leaving yet, but I didn't want to end my blog without making a announcement about what happened even though it's going to be difficult to spread the news around since I can't log into noncanonexo. Before this unexpected occurrence, I was able to add 6 more stories to the queue, so you have those to look forward to, but once those six empty out, the blog is finished. Of course everything will still be accessible on the blog (although it’s not like I have the ability to do anything about that anyways), and I hope you all will continue to enjoy the selection we have been able to provide for these past few years. I am so sorry that I was unable to get through and respond to the remaining (and potential future) asks and submissions, since we still had quite a few in our ask box.
Thank you all so much for making these past few years an enjoyable one, and I will never forget the experience of being an Admin for a blog in such a wonderful fandom. I will continue to hold the memory of noncanonexo close to my heart.
