december 29th: bought two sd-sized ties from bluebirddoll on etsy (maybe like me, you foolishly thought that clicking that link would bring you to their etsy shop. once upon a time, it did).
now it is february 3rd: short story is that the ties have never arrived, even though bbd notified me that it was shipped through etsy. they actually closed their shop and went on vacation without any notice, without even bothering to finish our transaction beforehand. i've already started and escalated a claim on etsy, as well as contacting bbd directly both on etsy and through their tumblr, which is still in existence and still updating all throughout this lousy transaction. isn't that charming
so this is just to let anybody know in case this shop decides to come back eventually: mehhhhhhhhhhhhhh. meh. mehhhhh. buy at your own risk.
i'm lucky that i didn't make a huge purchase, but that's part of what makes all of this so frustrating--i'm a pretty understanding buyer and all i really need is some communication. if there was a mistake or something got overlooked, i'm gonna be okay with it. if i know about it. at this point it seems like bluebirddoll is okay with just taking my money and never looking back.
i know i'm not the only person who has had trouble with this shop, so once again, i'm adding my situation because overall: MEHHHH. this is not how i like transactions to go.
