Hugtto headcanon: Hana’s mom figured it all out after Lulu came home again. The inordinate amount of time spent out in town with their friends. The fact that their whole friend group is color coded exactly the same as the local superheroes. The increase in bruises, sweaty clothes and exhaustion despite not having taken up any sports. The fact that an evil android broke into their home and brainwashed them. Her daughter is Cure Yell.

-A few weeks later, when there’s a news cast announcing the arrival of two new precure, she knows what’s up. 

-She never says anything to them. She’ll wait for them to tell her when they’re ready. But it’s hard. How’s she supposed to know this information and not smother them with hugs and kisses telling them how proud she is that her little girls are superheroes!?

Although she tries her best to make sure she doesn’t give away any clues, the information does affect certain things.

-They only watch movies where the villains get happy endings, now. They watched one, once, where the hero said “You’ll never be forgiven for your crimes!”, and later she heard both of the girls crying in Lulu’s room.

-She gives Lulu a book on famous guitarists for her birthday, and later, when Lulu goes to her room, she finds a machinery maintenance kit. She assumes it’s from Hana. It’s not.

-She serves more filling, body-builder style food for dinner. The medicine cabinet is always stocked with plenty of bandages. She can’t support them directly, but she has to make sure her baby girls are taking care of themselves when they’re home from facing the forces of evil.

-She buys all the merchandise in town for Yell and Amour. She hides it all in a big box, but she’s excited for when she can wear these t-shirts every single day.

-She’s such a proud mother, and she wishes she could go over to Mr.Yakushiji’s place and gush with him about their incredible daughters and their heroic escapades. She hopes she can, someday soon.

-However, when Lulu’s father shows up one day, she slams the door in his face.
