As said before, I am against harassing the devs personally as I am a person of constructive critisism.
But its the gaming community, there everything turns into a burning pile of garbage and the devs of Ooblets were attacked with homophobic and antisemtic rants and other abuse. Also fake screenshots were spread and the chaos was perfect.
They don’t deserve this, nobody deserves such treatment and this just shows that many gamers are still toxic as hell and this is something that shouldn’t be taken lightly.
Additionally it destroys also valid criticism that developers and creators should take to heart from time to time (and no not all criticism is valid, as another point) and the culture of healthy conversation. So gaming remains a burning pile of chaos.
So cheers, give Ooblets a chance, if you want to. If you try to avoid Epic, then do so, but don’t attack the creators personally, as this is a bad move. I wish them good luck with it and hope that this storm calms as soon as possible (but they need some healthy advise in PR for the future).
