I just realized what the problem is with my new short story. My boy main character should be a girl. This changes everything.
Also, does anyone have any input if putting a gay romance/very close relationship in an important portfolio would be a bad idea? Because this is vital and I don't really want to betray my work or my morals by changing it but I really need this to work out and I'm afraid of people being against it and taking it out on me.
Hello, welcome to the bi-monthly update!
Yeah, that's kinda what happened here. So, I've been busy that I haven't continued my project and instead procrastinated on it.
Yeah...
I did learn a new way of coloring. I'm practicing it now and maybe when I'm done with it, I'll show it along with the character description.
I really need to learn how to sketch. I keep doing full colorings and it takes too long.
I've been kinda out of it for a while now.
I did try working on one of my goals so far. Wow, there is a lot that goes into creating a comic. I realized how much I took for granted.
I'm currently on the lineart stage right now. Although, to get here, I spent way too much time on the sketch due to my perfectionism. That explains so many scrapped projects...

wow, it's been a while.
I just have been attempting to do a drawing of a design of a character I made back in 2024 or 2025. I just keep getting stuck on the rendering aspect of it all.
So, I sketched it instead. When I'm done, it will be posted.

I got three New Year's resolutions:
Continue learning. I chose learning Spanish, and one may see more of these types of doodles once in a while.
Draw what I want whenever I want. This just means that I may be working on different projects whenever I feel like it.
Practice creating comics. I probably won't show these comics unless I am very proud of it.

That piece of advice that I heard about just getting the idea down first, then perfect it later is helping me a lot. Yeah, I'm just going scene by scene in marker, but I am already halfway through the first episode.
It's fun and it helps with the artist block now that I am on a mini vacation!
I finished the last of my finals!
It's strange, you know. Now that I am done with this, it feels weird to not have a mission.
Anyways, there's a new event for a game I play. Although I changed the backstory for that OC, I find it funny that an idea that I had for a fan OC dealt with trains. However, I didn't put much research into it. So, I changed it to being more of a found family sort of deal. But isn't that most events...
I'll see if I choose to talk about that OC since it is one of my main five projects. It's kinda dumb and I haven't even drawn out the character yet!
I went down another rabbit hole. Apparently, some people can map out the locations of areas from their dreams. I kinda just focus on the room and furniture. I'm using an old journal to draw some of these scenes.
It's rather interesting, then again, I really like the idea of visiting liminal spaces. I get to work on my environment drawing skills, while being able to fully enjoy liminal spaces! Hehe~
