So... A lot of things happened.

First, I am planning to remake and organize the reference sheets that I used for my characters. It worked well, but I wanted to help make it clearer! So, I wanted to take advantage of how many images we could upload. Therefore, I may be posting 5-6 images per character. That is not including connections, which will have their own group of images and reference sheets. I did this to myself.

Second, I applied for a new job. I realized venting was probably a big sign that I wouldn't be happy. So, yeah, I quit my last job. That's fine, this job seems to fit me better. I may even have more time to draw!

Finally, I found myself really enjoying that challenge. I went ahead and started planning for October and November. It should be fun!!!

I'm taking a bit of a break from art fight. On Tuesday night, Wednesday, and Thursday, I should be able to catch up on what I missed. I started a new job recently. I don't feel good. I asked for some advice, and it just came down to not getting used to working yet.

I can't focus on what I like and I'm dreading going into work tomorrow. I feel so much like crying because I feel like a failure. Like I can do the job. It's the environment that is killing me. I can't handle heat. If it was the same job but just inside a building, I wouldn't have been complaining as much. I feel defeated just on break, I can't even cool down and I keep drinking a lot of water. I know that's normal, but I feel like that I may go crazy because of it.

Anyway, July, you win. I'm going to bed and hoping I find an answer to this problem in the morning.

Ah yes. That moment when you completely misunderstood what was going on, so you finished the last of the paperwork in the middle of the night. Since that same paperwork claimed that the next day was your first day, but you didn't get a schedule, you find yourself having to wake yourself early to see if an email shows. However, you end up staring at the computer with your email open and as you vent to a close friend, they realized that you misunderstood.

"You have that email to show if they decide to complain. That and they have to fit like 20 something new people into such a complex schedule. It may be next week. The first day is just for paperwork. Well, that's what I think."

I'm skipping a day of art fight to take a nap. I passed out at whoever knows what time and woke up at 6:30 in the morning. I'm not in the right headspace to fix a mistake that I made in today's drawing.

Half-way through the second week of art fight. I just wanted to say how fun it has been! I even started to plan out themed weeks for my amusement!

It also reminded me of how important it is to clean and organize this blog. Since this is slowly turning less away from being an art blog and becoming more of a life blog. I even thought about starting a new blog to focus more on art and my interests.

However, I realize that this blog could also be an art blog. It doesn't have to be one thing. So, after July, I'm going to randomly be posting some drawings here and there. Most along with a long paragraph of so much background context.

Hey, just wanted to let everyone know that I am going to try ArtFight this year!

Here's a rough introduction to each of the featured characters:

Fin - A person that fell into a place that doesn't make any kind of sense. She's basically an OC I made to draw liminal space with a story.

Zero - Cloud type object-head, who moved around the place too much and just wants a place to call home. Although, deep down, they aren't sure where to start.

Pix (The name may change later) - A mask wearing artist, who is a bit of a prankster and class clown.

Carassi - A fish that pilots a robotic aquarium and is currently trying to find peace in the adaptation.

abbi - A self-aware AI who is trying to learn more about the world around them, while trying to heal from what happened before.

Wow, I really need to understand what is meant by "a week before." Today, I was planning to binge watch episodes 1-8 of TADC before the finale. When I went on YouTube to double check, I learned that it isn't till the 19th.

It's fine. I've never been the best with dates and times. In fact, when I was telling my dad about when my graduation is going to be, I first said the 13th instead of the 14th.

Since I got some stories that involve me having to keep track of the days and time, I started to realize how messy it is. For example, what do you mean that one of my favorite anime starts in the middle of April and lasts a month in universe? It not a problem, yet with 12 episodes, that one month goes by quickly.

Recently, it was my birthday. I didn't mind being alone since I hung out with my friends the other day. I found myself worried about my age and how I haven't done anything yet.

I've dislike venting in public areas like this mainly because my concerns sound cringe when I put it into words.

Anyways. I am now one year older, and I haven't made a mark yet. I have a lot of ideas that I wouldn't mind posting on here, but the fear just rolls in the moment I even try starting on one. It's just dumb comics, headcannons, and theories. Yet, my brain makes it more than that like I am being judged for my thoughts. I like this place since most people don't really care. I just have to remind myself that silly post in a fandom is still a post. No matter how it looks.

So, to celebrate my birthday, here's a random idea for an AU I have.

If you know the game Danganronpa, then you may be familiar with the spinoff game UDG. There's a scene towards the end, where Enoshima (I think) mentions that if Enoshima really wanted to, then she would have done it herself in response to the Successor Plan. I thought more about that statement and had an idea for a mastermind AU. This post is getting too long, so I'll probably share more another day.

This year I am planning to join Art Fight since it looked like fun, and I wanted to practice drawing characters from other people. Throughout this week, I slowly realized that I have a lot of things to prepare for. Luckly, I found some videos that explain and give some tips for it. Also, it is easier to plan these layouts with marker in a random journal I have.

By the way, I'm making a themed hat for my graduation. It's based on Tomodachi Life. When I'm done, I'll take a photo of it!

Recently, I started learning how to skateboard. I plan to use it as alternate form of transportation in case the bus stop and the location are too far apart from each other. I managed to use the mud created by the heavy rains to practice my posture. Turns out putting one's foot on the center of the board leads to loosing balance very quickly. Learned the hard way. I'm okay!

In other news, I've been focusing on my technique for line art using one of my OCs. I saw a method where the artist draws the line art on top of the sketch and cleans it up instead of putting both on different layers. From when I tried, it took less time. I even went ahead and tested out line thickness and speed.

There was another test I did where I did color on the same layer. I'm not happy with the shading and the pose, but it was just a test. The speed was noticeably better for a drawing this size, being under 2 hours. In comparison to the Madoka drawing which took a little over 7 hours. I liked this way better since it feels more calmer if that makes any sense.

I think I needed a moment to myself and be honest with a lot of things going on in my life. While I have interests, I never really been personal about them. Since one of my new year goals was to do what I like at my time, I guess I could start with one now. Although, with no tags.

Back in March, I was invited to go watch Project: Hail Mary with my mom. Although I am not the biggest fan of movies, it was safe to say by my reactions throughout the film that I really enjoyed it. I would like to believe that my experience was heighten by my mom being there and comforting me towards the end. That and her extra fun facts since she read the book a couple of weeks before we watched the movie.

I noticed throughout the movie and fanarts on this website that what stuck with me was the importance of friendship and having that one good friend that just understands you. Even if it takes years, someone will be able to understand. I'm proud that I was able to find my best friend early and I know that I may find others sometime in the future. That is what it means to live in the moment. I checked up on my friends this Monday, they're doing good just busy with their lives. Maybe when we get a break, we'll hang out and have a sleepover.

UPDATE

I just haven't downloaded my traditional drawing skills to digital art yet. I got to treat it like how I normally would sketch with a pen.

Played a new game recently. I still haven't found the difficulty curve. Maybe it'll show up around chapter 2.

Then I got dragged down a new rabbit hole. Whoops.

I have accepted that for some reason, I can't really do sketches digitally. I keep attempting to finish it fully. Is it a bad thing? Well, no. It's just annoying. I can do sketches in my notebook! I think...

Anyways, I set up a challenge for myself. It's mainly so I don't get worried trying to figure out what I want to post here. That and since I might have to draw them anyways, might as well get some practice.

Hello, welcome to the bi-monthly update!

Yeah, that's kinda what happened here. So, I've been busy that I haven't continued my project and instead procrastinated on it.

Yeah...

I did learn a new way of coloring. I'm practicing it now and maybe when I'm done with it, I'll show it along with the character description.

I really need to learn how to sketch. I keep doing full colorings and it takes too long.

I've been kinda out of it for a while now.

I did try working on one of my goals so far. Wow, there is a lot that goes into creating a comic. I realized how much I took for granted.

I'm currently on the lineart stage right now. Although, to get here, I spent way too much time on the sketch due to my perfectionism. That explains so many scrapped projects...

Well, off I go again!

wow, it's been a while.

I just have been attempting to do a drawing of a design of a character I made back in 2024 or 2025. I just keep getting stuck on the rendering aspect of it all.

So, I sketched it instead. When I'm done, it will be posted.

I'm currently practicing a way to sketch, and I found this method to be somewhat quicker. I tried putting some kind of make-up, but I'm not sure if it shows well.

It sure has been a while. I have been busy getting used to the whole "out-of-school" deal. Here's a fish for your troubles!

I got three New Year's resolutions:

Continue learning. I chose learning Spanish, and one may see more of these types of doodles once in a while.

Draw what I want whenever I want. This just means that I may be working on different projects whenever I feel like it.

Practice creating comics. I probably won't show these comics unless I am very proud of it.
