Enjoy the moist and delicious flavors of this yogurt cake that doesn't need eggs. The yogurt gives it a nice tangy twist, and it's a great treat for any event.
Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup yogurt. 1/2 cup sugar. 1/4 cup vegetable oil. 1/4 cup milk. 1 tsp vanilla extract. 1/2 tsp baking soda. 1 tsp baking powder. A pinch of salt. Zest of 1 lemon optional.
Instructions: Start by heating the oven to 350F 175C. Butter and flour a round cake pan that is 8 inches in diameter. Whisk the yogurt, sugar, and vegetable oil together in a bowl until everything is well mixed. If you want to, you can add the lemon zest, vanilla extract, and milk to the mixture and mix it well. Put the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and a pinch of salt in a different bowl and sift them together. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ones one at a time and mix them together until you have a smooth batter. The batter should be poured into a cake pan that has been prepared. Use a spatula to smooth the top. In a hot oven, bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean. After taking the cake out of the oven, let it cool for 10 minutes in the pan. Then, move it to a wire rack to cool all the way through. If the cake is cool enough, you can either dust it with powdered sugar or use your favorite frosting to cover it. Cut your tasty eggless yogurt cake into pieces, serve it, and enjoy it!
