People can enjoy the anime as they want, the styles,tone, focus on certain aspects have shifted constantly over its 22 year history so some sagas appeal to more than others. It's always doing different things. Some people got into it through the games hence why they find the battling the most appealing eps to watch (there's a lot of overlap with DP/XY fans for a reason). Some watch for the character drama and some watch for just the Pokemon etc

I never said people can’t enjoy XY.  This whole thing started because someone asked me my opinion on XY, which attracted an XY Stan anon.  And I do play the games.  Quite religiously, in fact, but I still want good writing in the anime, rather than just spectacle.  And don’t get me started on DP.  Just don’t.  DP’s even worse than XY.

aah thank you ;w; anyway i draw in photoshop, but if you want to download the brushes that i use you can find them here! i use the fifth one for the lineart and the seventh one for coloring sometimes

You know, I wouldnt have cared THAT much about the Adventure 02 kids not being mentioned at all if Tri didnt...you know, deliberately call attention to them being seemingly killed off in the first OVA and then barely even TALK about it. Seems like really sloppy writing on their part. Either dont have them in the movie and pretend they dont exist, or have them in and actually DO something with it. Currently its the worst of both worlds.
