Summer Days, Drifting Away...
This week's newsletter brought to you by Grease.
Summer reading, we had a blast.
Summer reading, it happened so fast.
Met eBookFling, cool as can be.
And with ebooks, I saved a tree!
Summer days have drifted away,
But I’ll be up flinging tonight!
Tell Me More, Tell Me More!
It was love at first sight, and now that Barnes & Noble have acknowledged that the lending issue created by recent changes to their website was unintentional, we’ve made up from our fight. The folks at B & N assure us that they’re working to correct the error and return lending to its original functionality, so we should be flinging again (like we did last summer) very soon.
As evidence that B & N didn’t think the changes through, we offer you page 61 of the Nook Color user guide, which clearly states, “you can send a lending offer to any email address, but to accept the offer, the other person must have an email address associated with a Barnes & Noble online account.”
Thanks to all of you who took time to alert Barnes & Noble to the problem as well. We appreciate your support and can’t wait to have eBookFling back up at full capacity for you. Readers and eBookFling go together like ramma lamma lamma ka-dingidy ding di dong!
