I haven't seen anything about the two Argentinian girls (marina menegazzo and maria jose coni) on tumblr and I'm honestly disappointed. Maybe it is because of the language of the news or something like that. Basically, what happened was that two argentinian girls (22 and 21) were stabbed and bled to death in Ecuador for resisting rape, their bodies were found on a beach inside trash bags. The thing is that the general reaction of the news was "they deserved it" "they were probably high" "what were they wearing" "their parents shouldn't have let them go" "they were in a dangerous neighborhood, what else did they expect" "it's their fault for traveling alone" There has also been circulating a beautiful letter written by a journalist called Guadalupe Acosta that I will probably translate in a different post
