This simple blueberry jam recipe is devoid of pectin and refined sugar, making it ideal for those on a paleo diet. Full of fresh blueberry flavor and naturally sweetened with honey or maple syrup, this is a healthier option than store-bought jams.
Ingredients: 4 cups fresh blueberries. 2 tablespoons lemon juice. 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Pinch of sea salt.
Instructions: Blueberries, lemon juice, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and sea salt should all be combined in a medium saucepan. Over medium heat, bring the mixture to a boil while stirring from time to time. Turn down the heat to low and simmer, stirring from time to time, until the mixture thickens, 20 to 25 minutes. Once thickened, turn off the heat and allow to cool for ten to fifteen minutes. After transferring the jam to an airtight jar, chill it in the refrigerator until it is fully chilled. Savor your homemade paleo blueberry jam with yogurt or as a topping for toast or pancakes!
